CROSS POLARIZED WAVE ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATION EARTH STATION ANTENNA

PURPOSE: To easily, surely and best adjust a polarized wave in a short time. ;CONSTITUTION: A branching device 2 for an antenna 1 of a reception station has a device varying a relative angle with respect to the antenna 1 to adjust a polarized wave angle and its relative angle is detected by an angle detector 3. Each of horizontal and vertical polarized wave of the branching device 2 is alternately input to a receiver 5 via a changeover device 4. The receiver 5 detects the strength of each input signal (reception signal) respectively and provides the output of a voltage proportional to the strength to a changeover device 6. The changeover devices 6, 4 receive a same timing signal from a pulse generator 9 and are thrown periodically synchronously with each other. An output voltage of a voltage latch device 8 is converted into a digital voltage by an A/D converter 11 and the digital voltage is applied to a computer 12. The computer 12 receives two angles of the branching device 2 and two outputs of A/D converters corresponding to the angles to calculate an electric polarized angle corresponding to a polarized wave of the branching device 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
