Thiamorpholinone carboxylic acid esters and derivatives thereof. These esters have the following general formula: wherein: n is 0 or 1, R1 and R2, identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl radical, R3 represents an alkyl radical, linear or branched, with 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and R4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical, linear or branched, having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and the salts and optical isomers of said compounds of formula (I). These esters find application in the treatment of acne and in the treatment of seborrhea.
