The electrode is applicable as sensor for the determination of the concentration of biologically active substances in aqueous solution. The method is simplified and by its non-platinum catalyst its accuracy, reproduceability and selectivity in measurement are improved. The hydroperoxide electrode consists of hydrophobic carbon black with metal current conductor pressed in it, a layer of disperse non-platinium catalyst and dialyze membrane with biocatalyst immobilized on it. By the method, a layer of carbon black, hydrophobic made by means of polytetrafluorethylene and/or polypropylene, and/or synthetic rubber, together with a metal current conductor are pressed in a small tube of insulation material. A layer of the same carbon black in pressed in the front part of the tube with a layer of disperse non-platinum cytayst applied in advance for oxidation of the hydrogen peroxide. To this layer a dialyze membrane with biocatalyst immobilized on it is pressed.
