The proposed method of sealing a rotor shaft (2) with respect to a casing (1) of a turbo-set working in a piping (16) for transported gas with a dry gas sealing system between the rotor shaft (2) and the casing (1) is characterized in that in the gas sealing system (3) a closing medium is introduced from both inner and outer sides of the casing, i.e. from the casing (1) inner side a purified transported gas and from the casing (1) outer side a closing gas and a mixture containing escaping transported gas and closing gas occurring in the gas sealing system (3) on the casing (1) outer side is exhausted. The mixture containing escaping transported gas and closing gas occurring in the gas sealing system (3) on the casing (1) outer side is exhausted and introduced on air suction side into a gas engine (19, 20) being otherwise fed with the transported gas. The turbo-set for carrying this method is provided with a turbo-machine (15) working in the piping (16) for transporting gas, which contains the casing (1) in which the rotor shaft (2) is mounted. Between the rotor shaft (2) and the casing (1) there is arranged a dry gas sealing system (3) in front of which there is from the casing (1) inner and outer sides arranged at least one partition wall (6, 7, 29). The first space (9) extending between the first partition wall (6) on the casing (1) inner side and the gas sealing system (3) is provided with an inlet (10) for transported gas, while the third space (13) extending between the partition wall (7) on the casing (1) outer side and the gas sealing system (3) is provided with a second outlet (14) for a mixture of escaping transported gas with closing gas. The turbo-set contains at least one gas engine (19, 20) with an exhaust piping (35) for combustion products, a supply piping (21) of combustion gas and a suction piping (24) for combustion air. The suction piping (24) for combustion air is connected with the second outlet (14) of the mixture containing escaping transported gas and closing gas from the turbo-machine (15).
