The composition is an emulsion comprising phenmedipham and/or desmedipham dispersed in a continuous phase of an oil component and it comprises: a) 5-40% by weight of phenmedipham and/or desmedipham with a particle size of less than 10 microns; b) 15-65% by weight of an oil component which consists of one or more mineral and/or vegetable oils; c) 10-40% by weight of a surfactant component comprising one or more tensides; and d) up to 40% water. The composition forms a stable ready-to-use oil-in-water emulsion or micro-emulsion on dissolution with water in a ratio of one part composition to 1-10 parts by volume of water.
