Use of compounds having an anti-glucocorticoid activity in the prevention and treatment of withdrawal symptoms from narcotics and their mixtures esp. heroin, morphine, methadone, and cocaine, is new. The anti-glucocorticoid is pref. of formula (I) or its salt.
