Method for the verification, by means of the telecommunications system, of the data of a terminal, particularly relating to the telecommunications characteristics or system rights of that terminal, and also for the verification of subscriber data of a subscriber using that telecommunications system, particularly relating to the user rights of that subscriber. Location data are transferred by the subscriber, indicating the terminal on which the subscriber elects to reside, with or without data relating to the required usage type. The subscriber data and terminal data are verified simultaneously with the transfer of that location data.
