The arrangement is supported by the vehicle body (3), during transport and rests against the vehicle body by way of a front pair of struts (5) and a rear pair (6) of raisable struts. The front pair (5) are oriented in the direction of travel, secured to the frame (4) and movable between an essentially vertical set-up position and a raised position lying essentially parallel with the frame (4). Both pairs of struts (5,6) support the construction in its free-standing state at such a height to enable a vehicle to be moved into the region beneath the frame (4). The arrangement has a frame which is lowerable or raisable using hydraulic cylinders (7) operating between the frame (4) and the vehicle body (3). It has provided at its front end in front of the front strut pair (5) an axle (8) transverse to the direction of travel which is provided with at least one roller (9), such that the axle has a first and second position of rest (10,11). In the second position (11) the roller, but not the frame (4), rest against the vehicle body (3). The axle ends are located in a guide bar (12) joined to each side of the frame, and provided with a first essentially vertical leg in whose upper end is located the axle in its second position (11), with the upper end of the first leg lying above the upper end of the second leg.
