Plate metallisation arrangement comprises (i) two rotatable supply or removal means (3,4) for supplying plates from two plate stores (1,2); (ii) a lifting or lowering means (5) for alternately lifting or lowering places into or out of the supply or removal means (3,4) and into or out of an outer rotatable manipulator (6); (iii) an inner rotatable manipulator (9) for conveying the plates to or from the outer manipulator (6) to or from the metallisation devices (10,12); and (iv) a rotatable pick-up device (13) for lifting the metallised plates into or out of the supply or removal means (3,4). The arrangement is characterised by the intermittent inner manipulator (6), which is rotatable in the same rotation direction, having four equidistant arranged stop positions, of which two (92,94) are located diametrically wrt the two metallisation devices (10,12) and one (91) is located between the two stop positions (92,94) in order to act as a stop position for the outer manipulator (6). Both metallisation devices (10,12) are arranged to metallise each passing plate.
