The present invention relates to a new instrument primarily suitable for motorists who use their vehicles at any time of day, and therefore independently of the atmospheric conditions or the conditions of visibility and safety. The said instrument is capable of determining the capabilities for action and physiological reflex (involuntary nervous reactions caused by one or more external stimuli) of which the driver must be in full possession, especially in certain conditions. The instrument in question is electronic and provided with visual and acoustic indicators, and is characterized in that it is independently powered and therefore able to operate everywhere and in all conditions; it is connected among the controls or signals of the motor vehicle, adapting itself to them; it is universal, in the sense that anyone can use it and discover from it the responses required to overcome particular problems; it is capable of adapting itself, primarily, to the physical and temporal conditions of the person using it; it determines the modes of behaviour of the driver so that he can have confidence in the theoretical suggestions which it provides.
