Apparatus for the three-dimensional reconstruction of trajectories in the automatic analysis of subjects in motion

The apparatus proposed enables the automatic three- dimensional reconstruction of the trajectories described by markers attached to selected points on the subject analysed, whose motion is recorded by video cameras; the apparatus makes it possible to define, for each image frame, selected spatial regions of possible three- dimensional location of the said markers, from their position, velocity and acceleration in the previous image frame, and to determine whether or not the said markers can be assigned to the projections of the abovementioned regions on the targets of the abovementioned video cameras, in accordance with criteria based on the type of markers detected on the said video cameras.
