The subject of the invention is a metal detector in a special so-called cloister configuration for making multidirectional traffic booths, for example, with two curved rotary doors, motorised, actuated by the user through an appropriate reservation system managed by adapted electrical and electronic circuitry (electronic management unit), the inside of said booth being outfitted with a sensing carpet (or other type of sensor, such as optical or volumetric), able to signal the presence of a person inside, the whole controlled by a special metal detector, such as a "static" type (that is, able in itself to continue signalling the intrusion of a metal mass between its antennas even when left stationary) which inspects the entire interior volume of the booth, via four vertical column-type sensors (transmitting and receiving antennas) mounted at the four corners carrying the structure of the booth.
