A new drug for human use, having contraceptive and menstural cycle controlling properties, oncostatic action is mammary tumours and melanomes, and antikinetosic action comprises N-acetyl-2-iodo-5-methoxy-triptamine (I) (2-iodomelatonin) or N-acetyl-2-komotryptamine (II) (2-bromomelatonin) and derivs. thereof in association with a progestagen.
