Sulphur-hexafluoride-insulated three-position medium voltage operating/switching equipment comprising a series of three poles in which each pole is provided with a fixed contact and a moving contact, the fixed contact being associated with a male arch contact and the moving contact being located on an arm which can be hinged and can rotate between a first closed position engaging the fixed contact, a second open position and a third earthed position. The moving and fixed contacts of the set of three poles are arranged on three insulating supporting members which are in turn attached to a single supporting beam, each of the arms bearing the moving contacts being associated through insulated leverage with a corresponding cylinder pumping sulphur hexafluoride to the fixed contact, a metal drainage element being also located between each of the insulating supporting members and the pumping cylinders.
