The machine, which consists of a carriage outfitted to be pushed along the rut 24 in which the flexible seal 1 is to be inserted, being unwound from the spool placed on the carriage, is characterised primarily by having an operating assembly which, being internally supported by the plates 9 of variable geometry for appropriate lowering during the working phase, comprises: two guide wheels with a peripheral edge dimensioned to fit into the rut enough to steer the working advancement of the machine; a device for the initial inserting of the seal in the rut; a gripping and shearing device to separate the seal already put in place from the remaining seal, grasping the end of the latter; one or more pressing discs that can be adjusted in height to control the amount of insertion of the seal in the rut.
