The invention relates to a pole construction comprising a pole (1) which exhibits a hollow foot (3) which is open at the bottom and has an inner sleeve (15), and a foundation element (2) with outer sleeve (16), whereby the pole foot (3) may be pushed onto the foundation element (2) at least partially up to an axial limit stop (4;13). In order to fix the pole (1) on its foundation element (2) in a simple manner, in particular without the use of ancillary devices, a radial distance device (5,7;8,14) is arranged between the outer sleeve (16) of the foundation element (2) and the inner sleeve (15) of the pole foot (3), which determines the relative distance between the inner and outer sleeves.
