This invention relates to impact-modified thermoplasticcompositions comprising a compatible resin composition comprisingeither a polyphenylene ether alone or in combination with a polystyreneresin. The composition further includes at least one poly(alkylenedicarboxylate) resin, at least one polymer containing aromaticpolycarbonate units, alone, or in combination with a styrenehomopolymer, and an impact modifier comprising a glycidyl (meth)-acrylate grafted EPDM alone or in combination with other impactmodifiers. These compositions exhibit high impact resistance, solventresistance, tensile strength, thermal stability and sheer sensitiveviscosity which make them uniquely suitable for extrusion and blowmolding applications.
