HIGH TC SUPERCONDUCTOR - GALLATE CRYSTAL STRUCTURES

High Tc oxide superconductive films can be formedon gallate layers, where the gallate layersinclude a rare earth element or a rare earth-likeelement. Combinations of rare earth elements andrare earth-like elements can also be utilized.The superconductive films can be epitaxiallydeposited on these gallate layers to form singlecrystals or, in the minimum, highly orientedsuperconductive layers. Any high Tcsuperconductive oxide material can be utilized,but the best lattice matches are tosuperconductive materials including copper oxides.Examples include Y-Ba-Cu-O systems, Bi-basedsystems and T1-based systems.
