A method for disposing by incineration ofwaste material containing sludge and garbage of variouskinds which when combined results in a composite wastematerial prepared by performing multiple steps in itshandling wherein the composite material is first sub-jected to a grinding step for thorough intermixing ofthe sludge that may contain a high percentage of mois-ture with garbage that can contain very little moisture.After grinding, the composite waste material is pro-cessed in a cyclone where the gases that are used totransport the ground matter can be separated while thesolids are subjected to classification by the use ofa vibratory screen where the paper, fluffy waste, andsimilar materials can be separated from the smallerand harder particulate components. The separatedcomponents are subjected to individual impact grindingsteps prior to being recombined in the combustor whereincineration takes place. The gases separated in thecyclone separator are reapplied to the grinding stepsfor moving such material into the incinerating combus-tor, and any excess gases are delivered to the incin-erator, along with ambient air for establishing suf-ficient oxygen to support combustion in the furnaceat a temperature that will sanitize and destroy odorsduring the incineration of the waste material and afterthe sanitizing step in the incinerator, the gases areexhausted through suitable heat exchanges and filteringmedium.
