SYSTEM FOR DRAINING LAND AREAS THROUGH SIPHONING FROM A PERMEABLE CATCH BASIN

A principal catch basin defining a certain storagecapacity, the catch basin situated below the level of theground, having an upper level opening for receiving surfacewater drainage thereunto, and having side walls partiallyconstructed of permeable geotextile fabric for allowing bothsub-surface air to flow into the catch basin for providingadditional water absorption by the ground, and for allowingwater flow and sub-surface air to flow into the catch basinfor providing additional water absorption by the ground, andfor allowing water flow into the sub-surface water flow throughthe permeable basin to serve as a collection for sub-surfacedrainage. The system would include the ability to create asiphon within the system so that as water drains into theprinciple collection basin, the water may be automaticallysiphoned to a distant exit point or to an exit cylinder, sothat there is a constant movement of water from the principlecollection point to the distant exit point. In addition, theremay be a plurality of collection basins which siphoh into theprinciple collection basin which would then siphon into thedistant exit point.
