A circularly polarized microstrip antenna has a groundplane, a disk-shaped driven element, and a disk-shapedparasitic element. The driven element is located betweenthe ground plane and the parasitic element and is parallelto both of them. The driven element and parasitic elementboth have diametrically opposed notches, or diametricallyopposed projections, or diametrically opposed notches anddiametrically opposed projections. The driven element iscoupled to a conducting strip that parallels the groundplane to form a microstrip transmission line.
