The present invention relates to a method for repairing and reinforcing equipmentdetails and components subjected to abrational wear. A casing is affixed about the areaof the component or equipment detail subjected to abrational wear and a wear resistantconcrete material is cast into the spacing between the casing and the surface of theequipment detail or the component. A wear resistant ceramic plate is preferably affixedto the surface of the equipment detail or the component before the casing is put in placeand the concrete is cast.
