Reagents binding vinculin, dynein, and glutathione s-transferase from peptide libraries

A novel method for producing novel and/or improved heterofunctional binding fusion proteins termed Totally Synthetic Affinity Reagents (TSARs) that have affinity for the ligands vinculin, dynein, or glutathione S-transferase is disclosed. Novel and/or improved heterofunctional binding reagents to vinculin, dynein, or glutathione S-transferase as well as methods for using the reagents for a variety of in vitro and in vivo applications are also disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for identifying inhibitors of enzymes by the use of random peptide libraries.
