LOGISTIC UNIT COMPRISING TWO SEPARABLE PALLET HALVES WHICH CAN BE HANDLED WITHOUT USING A POWERED TRUCK

A logistic unit consisting of two pallet halves and a base plate designed so that a pallet half may be disengaged by means of a pallet truck and handled individually, the size of the whole assembly is kept to a minimum and a plurality of such assemblies may be stacked or stored on pallet racks. Said logistics unit consists of three elements enabling one pallet half of the assembly to be disengaged and handled without using a lifting truck, while having remarkable size and weight characteristics, and further enables the assembly to be stored on pallet racks. The two pallet halves (1) are provided with three open frame members (3) arranged on a base plate (4) with four longitudinal members (5) extending between each end of the base plate and having two openings (6). Coupling rods (7) join the members (5) together. When the three elements are assembled, they have an overall height of around 170 mm and a weight of around 20 kg. A user can manoeuvre the assembly from all four sides and place it on pallet racks, but, depending on the side, one pallet half (1) may be disengaged and handled individually by limiting the extent to which the forks (7) of the lifting truck are inserted. Said logistics unit is designed for use in industrial production lines to optimise the logistics thereof.
