A method and an apparatus for measuring liquid density and pressure loss per length unit in a flowing liquid, wherein the liquid is brought to flow through a pipe loop (1) having two branches (2, 3) coupled together in a point (4) at a vertical distance from the inlet (5) and the outlet (6) of the pipe loop (1). Pressure sensors (7, 8) are coupled to branch (2) and are adapted to measure a pressure difference (dp1) across a distance (l1). Pressure sensors (9, 10) are coupled to branch (3) and are adapted to measure a pressure difference (dp2) across a distance (l2). The liquid's density is set like (l2dp1 - L1dp2) / gl1L2(sin(v1) - sin(v2)), and the pressure loss per length unit is set like (l1sin(v1)dp2 - l2sin(v2)dp1) / l1l2(sin(v1) - sin(v2)).
