PURPOSE: To obtain a restoring material for blood vessels scarcely fraying cut ends without deteriorating the porosity, flexibility or sewability by bonding only prescribed sites in contact points of each yarn constituting a knitted or a woven fabric with an adhesive without the presence of the adhesive in a spatial part except the contact points. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive 2 comprising a polyurethane, a polystyrene, etc., having a melting point not higher than the melting point of a polyester fiber yarn is applied to the yarn at a suitable interval and the resultant yarn is used and woven or knitted to provide a woven or a knitted fabric 1, which is then heat-treated. Sites A, B, C, D, etc., off contact points of the respective yarns are bonded with the adhesive 2, e.g. at a prescribed interval. The resultant knitted or woven fabric is flexible and suitable as a restoring material for blood vessels such as an artificial blood vessel because the porosity (water permeability) is not deteriorated.
