The invention relates to a testing device for determining the behaviour of granular material under triaxial loading. Such testing devices are used to examine the deformation behaviour of floor material. The object of the invention is to propose a testing device with which different pressures can be built up in all three spatial directions. According to the invention, the object is achieved by using, in a cubic interior space, six pressure cushions which are connected in pairs to a pressure source and whose volume increases under pressure.
