The present invention relates to a method and device for controlling the tightness of an enclosure. This device essentially comprises a recipient (R) containing a liquid and into which an enclosure (1) whose tightness is to be checked is immersed, the upper portion of the recipient (R) being connected by an electrovalve (3) to a chamber (2) itself connected to an apparatus (A) permitting the analysis of the leakage gas contained in the chamber (2) after this chamber has been isolated from the recipient (R) by the electrovalve (3).
