A heat exchanger, such as a motor-driven air condenser, has a tubular wall containing fluid manifold having a plurality of through openings into which the ends of the fluid flow tubes of the heat exchanger are press-fit. These openings are aligned in the axial direction and in the region of the tubular wall lying between the two continuous openings the tubular wall has a circumferentially concave surface or a flat surface. This corrugated wall prevents it from rotating by pressing it against a flat surface, allowing the flow tube to be inserted exactly into the opening.
