The reynoutria elliptica root is primally crushed to be dipped for 3-20 days at 4-25 deg.C in 1-15 times volume of ethyl acetate or diethy ether or lower alcohol of which carbon number is 1-3 and avaiable component is extracted from roots. After perfectly evaporating solvent, 0.001-5 wt.% of extract of reynoutria elliptica root is mixed with a cosmetic material.
