The high tenacity nylon-6 filament yarn is produced by (a) spinning a nylon-6 having 3.6-4.2 relative viscosity to obtain an undrawn yarn, (b) treating the undrawn yarn with a spin finishing agent, (c) drawing the undrawn yarn at the first draw ratio of 0.01R21.15 [R1= the second roller velocity/the first roller velocity , the second draw ratio of 2.50R1R23.60 [R2= the third roller velocity/the second roller velocity , the third draw ratio of 4.40R1R2R3 5.10 [R3= the fourth roller velocity/the third roller velocity and the fourth draw ratio of 4.80R1R2R3R45.50 [R4= the fifth roller velocity/the fourth roller velocity , and (d) relax-treating the drawing yarn. The nylon-6 filament yarn is useful for reinforcing tyres.
