Synthetic Peptide Lung Surfactants Having Covalently Bonded Antioxidants with Covalently Bonded Antioxidants

A synthetic surfactant having antioxidative properties comprising a complex of a polytetide of 3 to 4 amino acid residues having a sulfating agent moiety and lipids consisting of at least one lipid associated with an antipyretic surfactant was prepared. These surfactants are useful in the treatment of respiratory distress syndrome.
