Thermoplastic Hot Melt Adhesive (THERMOPLASTIC HOT-MELT-TYPE ADHESIVE)

Thermoplastic hot melt adhesives based on polymer mixtures of polyolefins are described. Oligomers of α-olefins having at least 4 carbon atoms and a molecular weight of 5,000 or less and other known additives are added to the monomers to known mixtures of amorphous large poly-α-olefins and crystalline large poly-α-olefins. By this method, impact strength, viscosity and softness at low temperatures are improved, among other things.;Thus, such hot melt adhesives are useful for the adhesion of nonpolar plastics in the automotive and electrical industries.
