The present invention in the field of cell biology relates to a novel peptide capable of interfering with an intracellular signal transducer to interfere with a signal transduction pathway leading to cell proliferation and motility. The peptides of the present invention can be chemically synthesized from preformed peptides of a single amino acid and / or two or more amino acid residues. The peptides of the present invention have been found to be useful for the treatment of neoplastic diseases.
