Process for producing sorbents based on smectites and cellulose-containing materials with a low bulk weight

A method for preparing absorbents based on smectite and cellulose-containing materials of low volume weight and high absorption is described. This method mixes, wets, and granulates the wet mixture of smectite and ground cellulose-containing raw materials under close shear and extrusion operations.
