FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: needle comb, mainly top comb of comber has stamped needles with side projection in leg zone. Legs are attached by their sides to plates and installed in row so that projections of each two adjacent needles are located on two opposite sides to form channels between neighboring projections directed to same side to pass air. Method for cleaning needle comb consists in supply of compressed air jet with closed nipple jaws along needles to their pointer ends. With the aid of vacuum, suction air flow is produced which is alternated with compressed air flow with open nipple jaws of comber along the needles in direction opposite to that of supply of compressed air flow.
