METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CULTIVATION OF LONG-STEMMED PLANTS IN ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING CONDITIONS

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves one-sided or two-sided irradiation of plants with the use of one vertical panel or two vertical panels respectively. The panels are provided with horizontal sources of light and reflectors forming zones of horizontal irradiation differing in height. The zones are turned on one after another starting with the lowest one as the plants' tops reach every next zone. The device is provided with a vertical panel having a horizontal section of light sources, and the racks with plants are positioned along this section. There are photoreceivers on the opposite side of the racks along the boundaries between adjoining zones. Illuminance measuring and control units connect the photoreceivers to sections that form corresponding zones of lighting. Two vertical panel may be used if they are provided with appropriate automatic devices for turning on the zones in sequence. EFFECT: more favorable growing conditions. 5 cl, 3 dwg
