FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: aliphatic fluorine-containing polynitro compounds, more particularly preparation of bis-(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl) dichloro(fluoro)formal (FNF) which can be used as polymer plasticizers in energy-consuming compositions or as intermediates for synthesizing energy-consuming compounds. In the synthesis of FNF the starting product is bis-(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)thione carbonate which is halogenated with elementary fluorine or chlorine in acetonitrile at temperatures from -20 to +20 C. The yield is 85-91% In the claimed process the reaction time is reduced by 100 times with pressure decreased by 500 times and temperature reduced by 100-145 C. Toxic mercury need not be used. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process.
