A skin treatment agent contains a bilayer source, salts of organic acids, alcohol, stabiliser and lipids. USE/ADVANTAGE - The skin treatment agent has a high lipid content and can be used in cosmetics and dermatology. The agent does not have the problems associated with previous similar liposome prepns. (e.g. irritation due to high emulisifer concns. removal from the skin on washing). The bilayer is capable of building up the damaged lipid double layers in the epidermis and includes lipids in these layers, which are normally present in the epidermis. Thus skin quality (e.g. moisture, softness, reduction of transdermal water loss, improvement in the depot effect of the epidermis for dermatological active ingredients) is improved.
