Environmentally compatible composite consisting of natural fibres, filaments, fabrics, flours or laminates which are combined with plastics of the polyurethane/polyester and/or polyurethane/polyamide type, which contain natural fatty acids of unmodified length having hydroxyl groups or derivatives which can be transformed into fatty acids of this kind, which are linked to the polymer as ester and/or amide, with respect to their carboxylic acid, and urethanically, with respect to their hydroxyl groups, to form optionally thermoplastic or thermoset polymers, and which composite can be prepared by many different processes using both the fatty acid units which have not yet fully reacted on the polymer and the finished thermoplastic polymers.
