The cylinder (13) is connected by a hydraulic line (5) to a pressure reservoir (2) which is held in constant pressure by an aggregate (3), and a switch (9) in the hydraulic line relieves the pressure by closing the connection between the reservoir and the line. Electric cables (6, 7) connect the switch to an activator button (15). The cutting surface of the cutter (11) is at right angles to the axis through the handle (12). The cutter is forced upwards towards the fixed jaw (10) by hydraulic pressure from the cylinder working against the spring (14). After a cutting process the pressure in the hydraulic line is released by a valve so that the cylinder recoils under spring pressure, and with it the cutter retracts to the open position.
