The correlation reception method involves multiplying the variable phase control signal (M) formed from the transmitted signal (P), with the received signal (E) and the product integrated to produce a correlation signal (K). Before the integration a further multiplication is performed in which the control signal is multiplied by the product of the received signal and the control signal. The product (X) can be amplified before being fed into the second multiplication. USE/ADVANTAGE - For correlating known signals in very noisy environments. Prevent over control for strong received signals and hence achieves improved correlation dynamics.
