A method for patching of defects in glue wood

The defective area (4) is milled out acc. to preset measurements. Prefab. battens, which correspond in length and width to these measurements, are fitted and glued into the cut out areas. The ends of cutouts and battens are provided with rounded ends (7,7'), dependant upon the width of the battens. The width of the cutout area (5) corresponds to the thickness of a glued board (2), so that the glue joint (3) between neighbouring boards is retained. The milling tool is guided by an adjustable template. The tool has a dia. chosen so that the defective area is cut out in one working process. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple cheap repair of faults along the glued joints between boards.
