Mobile disinfection installation, in particular for hospital wastes

The mobile disinfection unit, esp. for hospital and other clinical waste material, is a modular system mounted into a container (1). An opening with a hatch is at the leading upper side for access to the upper end of the receptacle (3). A flap (26) is at the rear side of the opening for the conveyor belt (8) to be moved through. Half the container space is occupied by the receptacle (3), cutter (4), disinfection screw conveyor (6), vapour fan (22), vapour heater (23), conveyor belt (8) and the filter assembly (18), along the container length. The remainder of the container space is occupied by the burner system for a heating medium, steam and hot water, and a cold water container, fuel supply, water softening unit and a water pressure section. The exhaust gas channels from the burners open into the vapour circuit.The disinfection screw conveyor (6) housing has a number of openings at the insertion end for hot vapours to be introduced. A channel at the other end of the screw conveyor (6) housing gives suction extraction of the vapour for return to the vapour heater (23). The housing for the screw conveyor (6), the vapour fan (22) and the vapour heater (23) form a closed circuit for the vapours to flow through and with the screw conveyor (6).
