The sealing arrangement includes an annular, radially split seal housing, at least two sealing-ring washers which are arranged on either side of an annular space, to which a sealing medium is admitted, of the seal housing in a radially movable manner and in a sealing manner in annular chambers at the end face of the seal housing, and a device for feeding a sealing medium. The sealing-ring washers are radially split and consist of sealing-ring segments which abut against one another at the margin and are acted upon by a helical spring arranged at the periphery of the ring segments.
