Linear colour CCD for an image sensor, and a driving method therefor

A linear colour CCD for an image sensor and a driving method for the same are specified. The linear colour CCD comprises the following: a photodiode array system for an image sensor having a photodiode array system for undertaking photovoltaic conversion in order to generate signal charges which correspond to the colour signals for red, green and blue, having a first photodiode array (4) for generating signal charges corresponding to the green colour signal, a second photodiode array (3) which is arranged above the first photodiode array in order to generate signal charges corresponding to the red colour signal, and a third photodiode array (5), which is arranged below the first photodiode array, in order to generate signal charges corresponding to the blue colour signal, an analog, horizontal CCD shift register (1) for shifting the signal charges from the photodiode array system horizontally, and having a shift gate arrangement (2) for shifting the signal charges from the photodiode array sytem into the analog, horizontal CCD shift register arrangement (1) when it is switched on.
