A coin sorting machine has a drum (3) that contains different size coins that has specific guide channels (14) for the different sizes. The drum is rotated by a motor (5) with a gear (8) coupled to a ring gear. The drum has holes (16) at specific intervals that interact with pins (17) on the end of spring arms and select the specific coins. Coins are directed into a branch section (13) that can be moved to select the channels.
