Aluminium phosphate or boro:phosphate hollow beads

Hollow beads contg. aluminium phosphates or aluminium boron-phosphates. Also claimed are (i) a process for prodn. of hollow beads; (ii) hollow beads produced by drying the reaction products of acid aluminium phosphates with ethanolamine and/or ammonium salts or boric acid at 90-200 deg C and then subjecting to heat shock at 250-1000 deg C (iii) hollow beads produced from the reaction products of acid aluminium phosphates with alkanolamine salts of boric acid which contain at least 1.5 atoms P per Al atom, at least 1 base equiv. alkanolamine per B atom and at least 0.5 base equivs. alkanolamine per P atom; and (iv) mouldings contg. the above hollow beads and expansible or (partially) expanded graphite.
