An injection nozzle for a plastics injection-moulding machine has a sleeve (10) with a cylindrical recess (11), which is open on the input side and from the base of which an injection channel (12) leads axially through a head part (9) adjoining the sleeve (10). For better thorough mixing of the melt, in the recess (11) there is inserted with little lateral play an elongate insert (1), which is supported with the standing face (4) on a supporting face (13) annularly surrounding the opening of the injection channel (12). On the input side, it tapers to a central dome (3). Its lateral surface (2), in the form of a cylinder envelope, is covered with mixing pins (8), which are designed as prisms having a rhomboidal base area and the one diagonal of which is in each case axially directed, and which are arranged in a regular grid, so that the interspaces formed between them form a network of continuous straight channels which cross one another. Near to the standing face (4), the lateral surface (2) has eight receiving openings (5) which are distributed over the circumference, run radially inwards and open out into an annular channel (6) which is open towards the standing face, so that it forms a discharge opening (7) which opens out into the injection channel (12).
