Navigation and quality-assurance method for the purpose of application in aircraft, in particular in the context of blanket application of substances to agricultural and forestry exploitation and other land, and the application of vaccine carriers for combating diseases in wild animals, information being given to the aircraft pilot, preferably on the basis of a satellite navigation system (GPS) (global positioning satellite system) installed in the aircraft in conjunction with an on-board computer and an optical display, which information guarantees an optimum application quality of the substances with regard to the required amount to be applied per unit area. Furthermore, the flight data required for quality control during the flight is continuously stored in a flight-recorder program installed in the on-board computer. The application quality actually effected is determined by means of a flight-evaluation program installed in an external computer with the aid of the flight data stored in the on-board computer and is analysed by means of readable data carriers.
